Kristin Fisher joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence to space tourism. Kristin's parents are each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space and has now employed as a White House reporter for FOX News that covers the Trump and Biden Administrations on space issues. Kristin was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president and the 2020 presidential election and the efforts of two administrations in order to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Additionally, she was on numerous trips with Vice President and President of the United States as well as a secret trip to Afghanistan along with the then-President Donald Trump. Prior to becoming a part of the company in, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through local TV news markets including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin made use of her experiences behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films. The firm specialized in making documentary films. It was also a favourite among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a graduate in journalism from Boston University. Kristin lives with husband, daughter, and her three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
